Community, Support Groups & Mentoring
Who we are
Welcome to Sunny Side Up, a coaching/mentorship and support group community.
Founded by Hannah & Shane Burcaw and Amanda & Michael Steijlen
Shane and Hannah are successful authors, speakers, and content creators with a focus on disability and relationships. Shane is a lifelong wheelchair user and Hannah is his primary caregiver.
Amanda and Michael are successful content creators, business owners, and disability advocates. Amanda is a mental health professional and a certified rehabilitation counselor. Amanda uses a wheelchair due to a progressive neuromuscular condition and Michael is her primary caregiver.
We coach on everything from career shifts, identity, relationships, and self-confidence to life with a disability. Our team has both the professional training and lived experience to meet you where you are.
Our backgrounds span mental health, published authorship, caregiving, content creation, and business ownership, giving us a well-rounded and real-world approach to supporting you.
We are so happy you are here! (:

Group Sessions
Grow with purpose alongside others who are on a similar journey. Our group sessions combine expert guidance with real connection—giving you a space to share, learn, and be inspired. Expect powerful conversations, fresh perspectives, and actionable takeaways that help you move forward with clarity and momentum. Group participants receive free lifetime access to the Sunny Side Society.
Online Community-Sunny Side Society
Stay supported and build relationships between sessions in a space that actually feels good to be in. Our private community is where real connection happens—ask questions, share wins, get advice, and build relationships with people who get it. With ongoing chats, live hangouts, and special guest drop-ins, it’s a place to stay motivated and never feel stuck alone again. Shane and Hannah Burcaw & Michael and Amanda Steijlen will be active participants in the Sunny Side Society.
